Yes, it goes in: Android/Obb/com.camouflaj.manta/

You're essentially just replacing one of the files there.

And yes it does work. You're the only one who's saying it doesn't so far, so clearly you did something wrong somewhere.

It's not an APK, it's just a file you replace in the obb folder. Please read the post carefully, it's not that hard.
